Go ahead … take some time off.

You may not have the means for a week-long vacation, but even a five minute break can give you an energy boost, increase your concentration and even lower your stress. Short rests during the day are linked to smaller waistlines and lower cholesterol.

Many of us work more hours than we should, so it is important that we recharge our batteries and step away from the daily grind. It can be a short walk, sitting down and enjoying a healthy snack, or even taking a day off to enjoy recreational activities.

We so rarely take the time to reward ourselves, so take some time – whether it’s five minutes or a whole day – to refresh and energize yourself.
